He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Blacktail Companies, a forward-thinking investment and asset management firm specializing in acquiring premier industrial assets.

From North Dakota to Global Ventures

Born and raised in Williston, ND, Nathan grew up attending a small rural school with a class size of only eight students. For 30 years Nathan’s father owned an oil and gas company that saw it shares of struggles through a very tough period, but ultimately emerged successfully culminating in a sale in 2011. These experiences growing up instilled a robust work ethic, gritty determination and integrity in every endeavor. His personal journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Aviation and a Minor in Business, leading to living in Santa Monica, Aspen, Manhattan, and Denver. These experiences, coupled with extensive travels through Europe, Asia and Central and South America, profoundly influenced his worldview and problem-solving approach.

Entrepreneurial Ventures & Professional Achievements

 In 2012, Nathan immersed himself in real estate, revitalizing his family's portfolio with remarkable success—expanding industrial holdings by over tenfold in just 12 years. Recognizing the potential for larger ventures, he founded what would become Blacktail Companies in 2020, uniting with strategic partners to pursue ambitious real estate opportunities.

Aviation & Beyond

Nathan's "side hustle"; as a commercial pilot complements his real estate ventures, providing unique insights into new markets and potential investment properties across the globe. His passion for aviation culminated in co-founding a boutique aviation management company in 2020, showcasing his commitment to excellence in both industries.

Community Engagement & Personal Passions

Nathan extends his influence beyond business, serving on the Board of Directors for the Light and Life Foundation, dedicated to supporting a Bogota-based orphanage housing over 200 special needs children. His personal passions include family time, supporting his son in motocross races, and exploring the great outdoors through camping and adventure motorcycle riding.
